Ms. Schmidt represents closely-held and start-up business entities in all aspects of corporate and tax planning matters. She also has experience representing buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Schmidt received both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with an accounting minor and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2006 from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her J.D. Degree in 2009 from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, and is admitted to the Illinois Bar. During law school, Ms. Schmidt completed an externship with the Small Business/Self-Employed Division of the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, entertaining, and running on the Chicago lakefront, training for her next marathon.
