Huck Bouma's Litigation Practice Group offers a variety of options for resolving disputes involving businesses and individuals alike. The group's attorneys have represented both plaintiffs and defendants at trial in state and federal courts, before judges and juries, and on appeal all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. The litigators on the Huck Bouma Litigation Team have an average of 17 years of actual courtroom experience.

The Huck Bouma Litigation Team represents and counsels its clients in a multitude of areas, including commercial disputes, contested estates, emergency litigation, restrictive employment covenants, catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, domestic relations, landlord-tenant disputes, and more. The Litigation Team represents clients involved in litigation not only in DuPage County, but also in Cook, Kane, Will, Lake, McHenry, DeKalb and Kendall counties, as well as the Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois and other districts.

When the need arises, Huck Bouma's litigation attorneys will vigorously and aggressively litigate a dispute, using the most sophisticated legal strategies and a thorough knowledge of the law. We remain open to negotiating out-of-court settlements and will recommend such resolutions, but only if doing so will achieve the client's objectives while avoiding the expense and delays often associated with litigation.

The Litigation Team also participates frequently in mediation, arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Several of the attorneys in our Litigation Practice Group not only have experience in alternative dispute resolution, but have also served as court-approved mediators and arbitrators.
