Biography
Benjamin F. Crowe is an Associate in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group, focusing his practice principally on estate planning, probate, and trust administration. He knows that every client’s needs are unique and approaches each estate plan with fresh eyes to reach his client’s particular goals.
He focuses on the creation of individualized estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, revocable and irrevocable trusts. He has experience in trust decanting and settlement agreements, useful tools available for existing irrevocable trusts that no longer serve their original purposes. Benjamin has also advised clients on business succession planning matters, which are often central to a robust estate plan for business owners. He takes great pride in guiding his clients in matters of wealth preservation and succession, employing asset protection strategies to provide for future generations.
Prior to joining Huck Bouma, Benjamin worked as an associate attorney with the Bloomington law firm of Livingston, Barger, Brandt & Schroeder, where his practice was primarily focused on estate planning, business services, and real estate transactions. He also litigated estate and business disputes in court - invaluable experience which now informs his advising of clients and trust and estate instrument drafting.
Benjamin attended the University of Illinois College of Law. He is fluent in Spanish after living, studying, and working in Spanish-speaking countries for several years. He has an international background and a wealth of life-experience from his time abroad, which have provided him with insights that he utilizes daily in his legal practice.
Benjamin lives in Wheaton. His hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, reading, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and enjoying a round of golf.
