Labor Day

Labor Day 2024 will occur on Monday, September 2. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is traditionally observed on the first Monday in September. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. Labor Day weekend also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans, and is celebrated with parties, street parades and athletic events.

On August 12, 2024, Huck Bouma was pleased to have been able to sponsor a hole at the Old Neighborhood Italian American Club (ONIAC) 33rd Annual Golf Outing, held at Tuckaway Golf Club in Crete, Illinois. This event included a shotgun start at 10am, followed by lunch, dinner, drinks and raffle.

Wills, Trusts and Advance Directives

In partnership with Pathlights – a social services organization in the SouthWest suburbs of Cook County  – on June 27, 2024, @Huck Bouma attorney @Steven Sutera presented Part One of the Estate Planning series at the Worth Public Library titled “Wills, Trusts and Advanced Directives”.  

Summertime Greetings

The team at Huck Bouma was thrilled to be able to share some Summertime greetings with local nursing home residents. We were thrilled to be able to deliver many cards expressing warm, sunny salutations. The cards were delivered to different facilities in the surrounding area.

Eric successfully represented the client in an appellate case that originated in the Circuit Court of Cook County which involved the fraudulent transfer of several commercial properties.
