Biography

Michael Crowe is a Director in the firm’s Litigation Department focusing on complex, multi-party commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, and high-exposure regulatory matters. He represents investors and business clients in lawsuits across state and federal courts from early risk assessment through dispositive motion practice, trial, and resolution.

Michael’s practice centers on representation of clients where legal strategy must be tightly integrated with business and operational considerations, including breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and business tort claims, breach of contract, and issues arising under federal regulatory schemes.

Before joining Huck Bouma, Michael was litigation counsel at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, where he represented financial institutions in a wide range of commercial and regulatory disputes. His work involved advising clients on litigation risk, compliance exposure, and strategies to minimize liability while preserving business objectives.

Known for his disciplined approach and pragmatic judgment, Michael develops litigation strategies that are both legally rigorous and commercially focused. He partners closely with clients to navigate complex disputes efficiently, with an emphasis on early case positioning, leverage in motion practice, and favorable resolution outcomes.

Michael lives in Naperville with his wife and daughter. Outside the office, he spends time playing golf, fishing in Alaska, and riding his motorcycle when Midwest weather allows.
