During the holiday season, we pause to reflect on the past year and we are reminded of how fortunate we are on both a business and personal level. We are enriched in many ways by our relationship with our clients and business associates.
In recognition that so many have suffered this year from wild fires, hurricanes and floods, we have made a contribution to Week of Compassion, an organization that seeks to relieve suffering through disaster response and humanitarian aid all over the world. They are actively responding to the Camp Fire disaster in California.
To help those in need in other parts of the world, we have purchased a goat, sheep and pig through Heifer Project International. The Heifer website states that animal donations can provide families a hand up, increasing access to medicine, school, food and a sustainable livelihood.
We also recognize how fortunate we are to have plenty of food and a warm place to come home to each night. For that reason, we have also made donations on a local level to DuPage Habitat for Humanity and the Disciples Food Pantry, a small local food pantry that is currently providing food to over 1,000 people each month. Doris volunteers at the food pantry and both Doris’ and Christine’s husbands volunteer for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
We wish you all a wonderful holiday with family and friends and a happy and prosperous 2019!
